The Residency was a talent and IP incubator focusing on writers and writer/directors who identify as Global Majority, Female, and/or LGBTQIA+.

Run by Story Compound in partnership with Greenacre Films and supported by the inaugural BFI National Lottery Creative Challenge Fund 2024/25.

Focusing on the genres of action and thriller, The Residency gave ten screenwriters the opportunity to develop their feature length projects, alongside participating in masterclasses with leading industry executives.
